Lily Adrift


Passing by, a fleeting thought gave pause
For reflection upon true beauty adrift
Sadly lost to thought and any real cause.
Hiding there to side of mind's eye a gift
Of a small glimpse to remind just because
And for no other reason, to trace swift
Passage of waterborne Lily without pause,
Flowing down life's river giving a gift
To all passerby, a gift of a loving cause.
