Prejurance

Prejudice and Ignorance burst into my life one sad day
Ranting and raving vulgar they swore to take my own head.
Casting curses to make a slave of me without a need to pay.
For a moment maybe two or three I felt truly very dead.

Nearly collapsed so confused and felt a dire need to lay,
Those two of cursed thoughts so filled my heart with dread.
Thoughts of warm future words of colorful love to say,
Opened mind's eye of my fierce dragon asleep on her bed.

Springing forth scattering wisdom's jewels I would daresay
She cast about sparkling shimmering rainbows of wise wed.
Roaring, snarling, spittin' fire she was quick to slay
Prejudice and Ignorance one sad day without a word said.
