Times Past
Within an illustrious past not so truly distant
Logic embracing reason softly spoke to deafness
Hearing never listening their voices so ignorant.
Not long ago loving tenderness found such darkness
Long shadows spreading a viable and vile contestant
Creeping hatred ever so endless brought antiqueness.
Seems just yesterday these wretched halls intolerant
Echoed laughter loving and loud now fallen quietness
Haunts about on claws of contempt crawling so stagnant.
Glancing back short distance justice weilding huntress
Prowled with pride where now only jack boot of tyrant
March along to beating of savage and surly godlessness.
Deafening silence of times past fresh forgotton remnant
Now shard and shred broken and torn by those spiritless
Ushering in a future to pass of pure putrid repugnant.
