Pinch Your Nose!
On my previous holisso intannap achafa "page" I ikhananchi
"remind" you of underlined vowels. What is your rule? Pinch your ibichilu "nose" to
ahnit your rule.
In Ikilish imanumpa we can have anumpa hituklanchi achowa achi which sound different but
mean exactly the same. "Anumpa hituklanchi achowa achi" - word - to do that twice - to cause to differ - to speak. A
rough modern translation of my abuse of traditional Chahta, "To speak a word twice but differently."
English word, "either" can be enunciated "eye-ther" or "ee-ther" and be correct, just as with "neither" having two
different enunciations. Either way, the meaning of those anumpa tuklo do not change.
Chahta anumpa "a" and "a" are holisso "written" the same, appear to be the same,
might even be said the same. Nonetheless, unlike "either" and "neither," those are tuklo distinct different
anumpa in Chahta.
Pinch your ibichilu then achi "a" and you have said "yes" in Chahta.
Do not pinch and achi "a" and you have said "a" OR "the" in Chahta.
A, ibichilu - Yes, nose.
A ibichilu - A nose (CHO) The nose.
Watch for underlined vowels (or syllables) which are to be nasalized!
Listen to Charley very carefully:
A - Yes.
A - A (OR) The.
Do NOT forget the "pinch" rule! Also note I am now tossing in syllables for this rule, not just vowels alone.
