Obama is working at forcing his extreme socialist-environmentalist political agenda upon America through many different unlawful actions both civil and criminal. His intent is to drive gasoline prices so high average Americans can no longer afford to buy gasoline nor heating oil. This is an effort by Obama at tyrannical social engineering to foist fabricated and false green energy upon our nation, a type of energy which will quadruple our energy bills. Obama has admitted energy costs will "necessarily skyrocket". Barack Obama does not care about his causing significant harm to American families such as causing more job losses, causing more foreclosures and causing increasing numbers of American children going hungry because parents cannot afford grocery prices.

This chart displays a company name, percentage profit margin and profit earned per dollar of incoming revenue. COMPANY names are easy to recognize, Microsoft, Procter & Gamble, Exxon Oil and others. PROFIT MARGIN is based upon currently reported earnings through filings with our Securities and Exchange Commission. PROFIT PER DOLLAR is simply how much profit is earned per revenue dollar rounded off the nearest cent. Both Profit Margin and Profit Per Dollar reflect how much money is made by a company for every dollar a customer spends to buy a company product like a computer or gasoline.
Barack Obama is singling out five oil companies, the five top profit earners, he is making a target of those oil companies for presidential abuse in violation of our Constitution, in violation of civil laws and in violation of criminal laws. Obama deceitfully legitimizes his unlawful abuse of those oil companies by claiming profits are excessive, are "obscene". Barack Obama is a bald face liar.
Look at Microsoft on my chart. Make note of Microsoft earning about 32 cents profit for each dollar of earned revenue. Other words, Microsoft sells a piece of software for $100 and earns $32 in profit.
Look at Chevron, top oil company earner. Chevron earns about 10 cents profit for each dollar of earned revenue, this is, Chevron earns a dime profit for every dollar of wholesale gasoline sold. This is significantly less profit than Microsoft collects. Bill Gates collects more than three times as much profit as Chevron.
Truth is big oil companies are in the bottom two-thirds of companies earning profits. Nonetheless, Barack Obama whines and cries "Big Oil" is earning obscene profits although there are thousands of companies earning twice as much profit, earning three times as much profit and more. Obama does not piss and moan about "obscene" profits of Microsoft nor of McDonald's.
My girlfriend, Sylvia Soroya, points out to me last year, 2010, General Electric (GE) earned an average 10% profit margin yet paid no taxes, zero taxes. Exxon earned about the same profit margin as GE but Exxon paid $22-BILLION income taxes for 2010 year.

This is clear proof Obama singling out certain companies for presidential punishment is a violation of our Constitution, is a violation of civil laws and is a violation of criminal laws. Obama is engaging in unethical and criminal behaviors for a single purpose. This purpose is to make Americans submit to his extreme socialist ideology through class warfare.
Socialist Obama recently performed a smoke and mirrors trick. For more than half of his presidency, Obama has made every effort possible, both legal and illegal, to squash our oil industries and all other industries Obama personally does not like. His smoke and mirrors trick is suddenly declaring, "America needs more drilling for oil!" Obama hypocritically flip-flopped on this issue of oil exploration. Reason for this is Americans are becoming increasingly angry about gasoline prices which fuels out-of-control inflation of consumer prices. This is well demonstrated by Obama causing gasoline prices to more than double during his presidency to date.
Americans being driven farther into financial stress, being bankrupted, being made homeless, this ruination Obama is inflicting upon American families is threatening his bid for presidency during 2012 year elections; voters are angry and rightfully so. Obama changing his stance on big oil, Obama suddenly favoring drilling for more oil is more abhorrent deceit from Obama; he is again lying to America. Proof is in the pudding.
This distasteful deceitful pudding is dished out with his "extending" oil leases.
Back in May of 2010, Obama declared a moratorium on deep sea oil drilling, a moratorium which was ruled by a federal court to be unlawful via Hornbeck Offshore Services LLC v. Salazar, 2:10-cv-01663, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Louisiana. Many oil companies were driven out of business, tens of thousands of American families loss their jobs because of Obama's moratorium presidential punishment. This socialist act by Obama rippled through our economy. Businesses went bankrupt, people lost their jobs and moved in search of work which led to small local businesses to go bankrupt. Obama suffered economic destruction upon tens of thousands of American families through his presidential punishment of oil companies. He did this during the worst recession we have suffered since the Great Depression.
This deceit of extending oil leases is readily apparent, so very transparent. Oil companies can secure a federal lease to drill for oil and extract other natural resources within certain tracts of federally owned land. Those leases have a term period. To keep this simple I will arbitrarily set a lease term length of ten years. An oil company purchases a lease and is permitted to drill for oil for a period of ten years.
A created example. Chevron buys a ten year lease to drill for oil. The day Chevron writes a check to pay for this lease, Obama declares a one year moratorium on oil drilling. Chevron cannot drill for a year. Chevron now has a lease for nine years with one year lost to Obama declaring a moratorium. Chevron paid for ten years but Obama cut this to nine years.
A comparative example is you buy and sign a lease for a home, a one year lease. Owner of this house says, "Here is your lease but you cannot move in for a month." You have been cheated out of a month's rent. This would piss you off. This is what Obama did to oil companies.
Obama deceitfully declared he will "extend" oil leases to increase oil drilling. Obama is lying through his teeth. Obama has simply giving back the year he took away through moratorium. My Chevron example of Obama cheating on his lease, Chevron is given back this year Obama took away. Chevron is back to a ten year lease instead a cheated nine year lease. This is not an extension of lease, this is Obama giving back what he took away.
This is smoke and mirrors. This is distasteful pudding proof. This is Obama lying to America to protect his votes during 2012 year elections. Obama is a bald face socialist liar.
There are many more examples of Obama lying to American families to be found in this oil drilling issue. Another example is Obama claims he will "expedite" environmental permits. However, reading the fine print of Obama's declaration he states oil companies will have to wait five or more years for this to go into effect. Reality is Obama added five or more years to this permitting process. Obama is outright lying to America.
Obama proclaims, "I have shortened the permitting process." Truth is he made this process years longer.
