California Center for Public Health Advocacy released a report today addressing obesity. This study is not good news. Included in this report are some facts which will depress you to point of stuffing your face with ice cream:
* Annual health care cost of overweight and obesity is $21.0 Billion.
* Annual health care cost of lack of physical activity is $20.2 Billion.
* Annual cost to lost productivity because of fat is $8.2 Billion.
* Annual cost to lost productivity because of lack of physical activity is $12.3 Billion.
Here in California the overall average cost of fat people, per year, is about $42 Billion.
Round off to a conservative $40 Billion, multiply by 50 states and you have national figure of money lost to fat of, well, a number of dollars in the Trillions.
California could quickly solve its budget deficit simply by reducing fat.
Next time I take to chewing the fat, next time I take to writing critiques of fat people, you should think twice before spanking my fat bottom because I will throw facts into your chubby face. Be sure of this because I am annoyed by having my family's money going to supporting fat people, which is a heavy burden upon our family, and all of America.
We can do better. We must do better if America is to return to a healthy economy.
Here are the facts I will use to clobber you:
