Lucia Whalen is the responsible citizen who dialed 911 to report a possible burglary in progress at the Henry Gates home over in Cambridge, Massachusetts. As readers know or should know, Henry Gates is the alleged professor at Harvard who went totally racist ballistic on white police officer, Sergeant Crowley, whose Irish luck had him the responding officer and a victim of Gates ranting racial slurs and "yo momma" for Crowley daring to perform his duty as he is so charged.
Since this incident, Lucia Whalen is suffering taunts she is a racist and is suffering threats to her safety and well being. Most of this abhorrent behavior is originating from Black America. Lucia is half scared to death to speak up, half scared to death she will come to physical violence or death. Maybe she should seek police protection from racists out there.
Quite the shame for our nation, quite the embarrassment for our nation to have a responsible citizen perform her civic duty, her reporting crime, only to become a national victim of hate crimes herself. More embarrassing, though, for Black America to display such vile hatred for a woman who dialed 911 to help protect her neighbors.
Appears Black America considers dialing 911 to report crime is racism when the potential criminal is black. However, Lucia never mentioned "race" during her 911 call other than she thought one of the men might be Hispanic. She was not sure.
Today, Lucia Whalen is paraded by our national news media and, poor girl, now everyone knows what she looks like. I hope she is afforded police protection.
More ironic, Lucia is not invited to have a beer with our president to toast her for being a good example of a responsible and civic minded American girl. Must be a boy thing.
Rather odd this, who would ever think you could dial 911 for racism.
