It Came from Wasilla

Today, Vanity Fair and a wanna-be writer, Todd Purdum, published another hit piece on Sarah Palin. This trash talk article is not as bad as the Guy Cimbalo of Playboy hit piece on conservative women, but is just as poorly written, just as insulting and just as deceitful.

It Came from Wasilla

Todd Purdum is an OK writer from a point of view of construction and composition. However, Mr. Purdum would not pass one of this English professor's collegiate classes. Purdum knows the mechanics of writing but knows little about this lively art of writing; his writing ability and his writing style are both substandard in light of writing for Vanity Fair. So is his thinking.

Here are some more interesting quotes to perk your interest.

"She is not only a staunch foe of abortion but also the mother of a boy, Trig, who was born with Down syndrome...An ad for Hahn Realty Corporation reads, 'If you need commercial real estate, call Joe Kiefer! Joe is pro-life and a proud supporter....'"

Purdum, in a failed attempt to use fancy wording to cover up his making a target of Trig, is directly alleging Palin is using her baby boy as an advertisement for commercial interests. Purdum begins his article with that abhorrent commentary which well informs me Purdum is completely calloused to special needs children; an Obama "Special Olympics" type man.

Purdum continues, "...dressed all in black; no red Naughty Monkey Double Dare pumps tonight...."

There, Purdum exposes himself for his being a stereotypical "sexist pig" as we say sometimes.

Purdum writes, "...Palin, keeping her distance from most domestic media as well, also declined to talk to V.F....."

No, Purdum is making an excuse for Sarah refusing to grant him an interview. Purdum is engaging in typical masculine deep denial, "Take it like a man, blame it on a woman."

Here is an insult directed at John McCain and Sarah Palin, along with a bit of very obvious deceit on the part of Purdum, "how could John McCain...ever have picked a person whose utter shortage of qualification for her proposed job all but disqualified him for his?"

Insult is Purdum alleges John McCain is unfit to run for office and so is Sarah Palin. Deceit is Purdum compares Palin to Obama through inference. Palin is a seasoned politician from mayor to governor of Alaska. She is very successful, very talented and very experienced. Obama is a junior senator who spent the first half of his tenure voting "present" and spent the second half of his tenure running for president. Obama has zero experience and even less talent.

Following his insults and deceit, Purdum makes light of the David Letterman incident, "...Palin did star in a week-long seriocomic feud with David Letterman...."

This suggests to me Purdum is comfortable with sexual predation upon children.

I will finish off here rather than continue to comment on this six pages long rant by Purdum published by Vanity Fair as a hit piece, as classic Yellow Journalism.

This English professor finds in the first page alone, personal insult, sexism, deceit and most disturbing, using Trig as a target to mock special needs children. Purdum employs his first page to hook into readers' emotions, to hook readers into disliking Sarah Palin. Purdum does this to both rationalize and legitimize his expressed hatred within subsequent writings.

Had Todd Purdum submitted his article to this English professor, I would have simply wadded up his article, slung his spent wad back into his face then said,

"Get the fuck out of my class you ignorant illiterate pig."

There are six pages to his article at Vanity Fair. You are invited to read, make some notes, then return here to comment. I am sure you will find his article to be riddled with highly inappropriate commentary just as hateful as remarks by Guy Cimbalo of Playboy, just as hateful but sans the vulgarities. Nonetheless, Purdum is an exceptionally vulgar man; he insults my intelligence and insults every notion of common decency.

Todd Purdum, do not think yourself a talented writer, you are most certainly not.

To have a sharp stick poke at you Pig Purdum, English is not my native tongue yet I can both write and speak circles around your mental midget pig brain. Eventually, all pigs get slaughtered, you know.
