"Joe Wilson yelled 'You lie!' at a president who didn't. But, fair or not, what I heard was an unspoken word in the air: You lie, boy!"
Dowd concedes Joe never used the word "boy" within his hollered rhetoric.
In another subsequent article titled "Rapping Joe's Knuckles" Maureen Dowd shares these delightful words with America,
"Joe Wilson, congressman, argued that Joe Wilson, chucklehead, should not be formally rebuked."
Dowd does not concede her words are rather childish.
Maureen Dowd suffers a well documented history of deliberate misquote and plagiarism. Dowd is known for misquoting people, twisting words of another and even fabricating quotes as she did with Congressman Joe Wilson. Maureen Dowd engages in this type of deceit so often, our literary world has created an expression for her distasteful lying: "dowdification".
Dowd created scandal when she is caught plagiarizing words of an author. She did admit to plagiarizing writings of another. I suspect she still steals words of others.
Within my writer's profession, misquote and plagiarism are unforgivable transgressions and are at the top of the "no-no" list. Those two mortal sins are to never be committed. Misquote is tantamount to lying, plagiarism is tantamount to theft. In essence, Dowd is a lying thief. Rather surprising a writer who engages in those types of egregious offenses won a Pulitzer. This leads me to question both the honor of and the value of a Pulitzer Prize. Personally, I would not want to win a Pulitzer, I would not want my name listed with Maureen Dowd; this would be a dishonor, this would disgrace me.
Maureen Dowd performed a dire disservice for America. Her falsely stuffing words into Joe Wilson's mouth served only to mislead Americans and served only to inflame racial tensions. Dowd engaged in race baiting, Dowd engaged in spreading discontent and hatred. Dowd proved herself to not only be a liar, she proved herself to not be a patriotic American. Amongst the founding principles of our America are Truth and Justice. Dowd does not honor nor abide by Truth. Dowd inflicted serious injustice upon Joe Wilson. I am dismayed Maureen Dowd has fallen to such a loathsome low level of ethical and moral values. In essence, Dowd has rendered herself worthless, a no-count, she has rendered herself an embarrassment to my writer's profession.
To rub salt into this wound she hatefully inflicted upon Joe Wilson, Maureen Dowd follow her hatred inciting article with a childish insult by labeling Joe Wilson a "chucklehead". Not satisfied with deceitfully portraying Joe Wilson as a racist, she is driven to sling out childish insults at him. This is certainly not the mark of a professional writer.
The New York Times is well known as a far left liberal rag, literally a rag, a type of rag you would use to blow your nose or wipe your ass. Maureen Dowd is no better and certainly a perfect fit for the New York Times; snotty crap.
Embarrasses me to have such horrific writers, such horrific newspapers out there in America diligently working at ruining the reputations of all professional writers. This type of abhorrent behavior embarrasses our nation, as well. Angers me Dowd and The New York Times engage in tabloid style Yellow Journalism, engage in fabrication, deceit, insult, racism and hatred for whatever reason, perhaps to boost ratings and to stave off bankruptcy for a period of time.
Does not matter, Maureen Dowd and the New York Times are both already morally bankrupt.
